Ukrainian delegation visits Uzbekistan

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Konstantin Grishenko, arrived on a visit to Uzbekistan, met with the chairman of the Senate (upper house of parliament) Ilgizar Sobirov on 6 February.
During the talks, the high-ranking guest was acquainted with the activities of the bicameral parliament of Uzbekistan.
Issues on further expansion and strengthening of cooperation between the parliaments of both countries were discussed.
On the same day, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine visited the Independence Square and laid flowers to the Monument of Independence and Humanism that symbolizes the freedom, the bright future and the gracious aspirations of our people.
He has highly appraised the large-scale creative work held in the capital under the leadership of the head of the state Islam Karimov.
K.Grishenko visited the State museum of Timurids history and familiarized with the exhibits telling about Amir Temur and his descendants. Laid a wreath to the monument to great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko established in Tashkent.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister held talks at several ministries and departments of the country.
A meeting of the representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan and Ukraine was held at the Chamber of Commerce.
